About Project

Manulife has taken root in Hong Kong since the era of entrepôt. Through the pop-up history book, it perfectly presents how Manulife Pension has accompanied the growth of Hong Kong for the past 80 years.
This project did take time to study history background and researched right visual elements for each era. Such as costume, street look, toys style… And we tried to keep every page with some corporate colour accents, enhancing visual consistency and brand appearance.
It was also a great challenge in compositing tons of visual elements with green screen talents and props in a tight timeline and we achieved it.
In the 1950s, during the era of prefab rooms and black-and-white TVs, Manulife provided provident fund services to the people of Hong Kong.
In the 1970s, the toy industry blossomed in Hong Kong, making the concept of pensions more popular through games.
(Other manufacturing industries during this time included: garment, watch, leather shoe, plastic, and electronics industries.)

Result

The client team was very pleased with the outcome of the video and requested that we create another version for the Latin Quarter.
